Crochet the day away

Today I am 37 weeks pregnant and waiting most impatiently to meet our newest family member. I have been making up little baby sized things for the past few days and wanted to share their little yarny goodness. I made up a new pattern, this blue cabled hat, yes cabled with crochet. It turned out quite thick and heavy but will be perfect for any cold windy days that come up. I also made some matching booties to go with it because you can't have too many tiny booties right?

I made up a plain baby beanie as well but in the same yarn as the baby blanket I finished last week, I am still planning some booties to complete the layette, maybe I will make them tomorrow.

So there it is my way of killing time while I wait on this squirmy, wiggly baby to make his appearance.
